Meet the Artist
I have loved photography for as long as I can remember. My father was a keen photographer, perhaps I inherited it from him. One of the things I enjoy about photography is that you never stop learning, and I love capturing an image that shows the beauty of what I am shooting. My background is as a news photographer, this taught me to work fast and make the most of whatever light you had available.
From there, about 15 years ago I went out on my own as a commercial photographer, photographing everything from brochures, advertising, website images and promotional books through to corporate headshots.
I also shot a lot of construction photography which I really enjoyed. Working on building sites and documenting the construction of many of Christchurch's iconic buildings. The Bus Interchange, The Justice and Emergency Services Building, The Deloites Building, Turanga, The Central Library to name some that I photographed regularly as they were built.
I felt this was documenting something positive, the rebuilding of the city, after working in the Red Zone photographing the devastation following the Christchurch earthquakes, it was lovely to document the city coming back to life.
I also provide large images for wall art. Let me know if you are interested in suitable imagery for this purpose.
Now I am finally taking my favourite images, fine art. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed taking them and I hope you find an image for your home or office that you will love to look at for years to come.
I will be out taking new images around New Zealand, often with my dog Raz.
Thank you for viewing my images which I will be updating.
Keep in touch, I'd love to hear from you.
